Notes
To ensure error-free use of the SPEDION DocScan app, please note the following:
Select a high-contrast background for your scan to enable automatic edge detection.
Please note that you should not scan the document from too far away or too close to the document in order to ensure sufficient resolution.
Usage

To start a new scan, select the + icon.

The SPEDION DocScan app detects your document automatically.
If automatic capture does not work, trigger the capture manually using the usual round camera button at the bottom of the screen.
3. The scanned document is displayed.
- The scan quality is displayed in the top bar (1).

- In the edit bar(2), you can edit the scanned document by rotating and cropping it, add further scans by clicking Scan more, or Discard the scanned document or return to the overview page by clicking Done.
- On the Overview page, you will find all the pages/documents that you have scanned.
Individual pages or documents:
- The pages are numbered with numbers on the left-hand side. They can be moved or rearranged.
-> To do this, select a page by pressing and holding it and then move it. - Each page has a smiley that indicates the corresponding scan quality, as explained in point 3.
- Individual pages can be edited or deleted using the 3 dots next to the smileys.
Overview page
- You can use Show PDF to generate a PDF with all scanned pages/documents.
- Use Done to complete the current scanning process for all pages/documents.
- The 3 dots in the top right-hand corner allow you to sort documents/pages or delete them all, as well as display help and the imprint.
Troubleshooting
Document is not recognised correctly
| Contrast | Select a high-contrast background for your scan to enable automatic edge detection. |
| Distance | Make sure you do not scan the document from too far away or too close to the document to ensure sufficient resolution. |
| Staples | If several pages are stapled together, make sure to fold the page to be scanned completely. The pages underneath should not be visible. |
| Folders and files | If necessary, remove documents from folders or files. |
| Transparent film | To avoid reflections, remove your document from the transparent film and place it on a surface. |
| Post-it notes | If there is a Post-it note on the document that sticks out over the edge, remove it. |
| Creased documents | Smooth out creased documents as much as possible before scanning to make the text legible. |
| Hands in the picture | Make sure that your hands are not in the picture. Place your document on a surface for this purpose. |
In order to use the SPEDION DocScan App 2.0 without errors, it requires permissions that are requested when you start the app and must be confirmed by you. You can also set these manually if they were previously denied.
- Select Apps -> SPEDION DocScan.
- Select Permissions.
- Grant access to Camera.
