Data transfer | Bluetooth or web service
There are two ways in which tire data can be transmitted to SPEDION:
The advantage of the first option is that tire data is sent directly via Bluetooth to the SPEDION App in the vehicle. No internet connection is required.
In the second option, the tire data is transmitted via an Internet connection to a server/cloud of the third-party system. The data is then transferred to SPEDION and sent to the SPEDION App. An Internet connection must be available for the driver to receive tire data in the SPEDION App.
Threshold values for pressure and temperature
Threshold values define when a tire is displayed in green, yellow, or red in the SPEDION App or in SPEDIONline. Furthermore, possible alarm messages refer to these threshold values.

The threshold values can be configured for your vehicles by the SPEDION project team. In some TPM systems, the threshold values are predefined and must be adjusted directly in the TPM system.
Normalized pressure - Pressure at 20°C
SPEDION offers you the option of displaying real values or normalized values (= values at 20°C) for tire pressures. When tires that have become very hot cool down, the tire pressure decreases due to the temperature.
The normalized tire pressure display helps you to identify whether a tire is losing pressure independently of the temperature change. If the normalized tire pressure changes significantly, the cause of the pressure drop must be determined and measures taken.

The costs for tire pressure and temperature monitoring consist of various items.

- Additional monthly costs may be incurred from TPMS manufacturers.
Alarm message
Alarm messages can be defined for you by the SPEDION project team. You can specify the threshold values and how you would like to be notified.
Alarm messages can be received as:
- Messages in the SPEDION App
- Ticker messages in SPEDIONline
- Push notifications via the SPEDION Portal App
- SMS
