SIM card

Prev Next

1. Insert the SIM card

  1. Switch off the dashcam.
IMPORTANT: Please follow the instructions on the dashcam and the order of the steps!
  2. Use the special screwdriver supplied with the dashcam to remove the security screw securing the protective cover over the SIM and SD card slots.

    This triggers a tampering event.

  3. If necessary: Remove the new SIM card from the shipping card to obtain a micro-SIM.
  4. Insert the SIM card by pressing it down. It should not protrude.

2. Test the SIM card

  1. Connect the dashcam to the power cable.
  2. Tap the dashcam screen.
  3. Enter the default PIN 3333 or the PIN you have set yourself.
  4. Check the network connection icon displayed at the bottom of the home screen. The connection is active if you can see the bars and there is no red X over them.

X over the bar?

If you see an X above the signal bars, the SIM card may be working properly, but you are in an area with poor network coverage.
Move to a different location to check if you have a network connection there.

  1. Once the network connection is active, reattach the protective cover using the special screwdriver.
