About encryption
You can encrypt the recordings on your SD card. Each recording file is encrypted separately using a password and an AES algorithm supported by FIPS 140-2.
When setting up encryption for the first time, you must use SPEDIONline.
After initial activation, encryption can then be disabled and re-enabled from the dashcam or from SPEDIONline.
The SD card must be empty in order to enable encryption.
Encryption only works for videos recorded at a resolution of 720p or lower.
