Range of functions
You can temporarily disable some restrictions controlled by SPEDION Mobile Control directly via your Android device. To do this, you must execute the desired Mobile Control command in the SPEDION app.
To access the Mobile Control commands, you need a PIN, which you must generate on SPEDIONline. Therefore, you also need access to SPEDIONline to access the Mobile Control commands.
The Android device in question does not need an internet connection to access the Mobile Control commands.
The following Mobile Control commands are available:
- Re-register SPEDION Mobile Control
- Reapply settings
- Restart device
- Shut down device
- Reset app blacklist and whitelist
- Allow power off
- Allow device administrator deactivation
- Show all hidden settings
- Allow USB connections
- Allow outgoing calls
- Restart mobile data
- Restart GPS
- Allow OTA firmware update
- Allow roaming
- Allow adding accounts
- Allow factory reset
This is the current range of functions. Additional functions may be added or existing functions may be discontinued.
SPEDION Mobile Control Commands
Use these instructions if there is no Internet connection to the affected Android device.
If the affected Android device has an Internet connection, first check whether you can execute the desired command via SPEDIONline.
Use these instructions if the desired command cannot be executed via SPEDIONline.
Prerequisites
- Ensure that you have access to both the Android device and SPEDIONline at the same time. If the Android device is not within your reach, you can instruct the driver to carry out the steps described below for the Android device.
- Ensure that you have permissions to access the administration in SPEDIONline.
- Make sure that you have permissions to access Mobile Control in SPEDIONline.
Open SMC commands
To open the Mobile Control commands, you must generate a PIN on the affected device.
To do this, you must open the access control in the SPEDION app.
Open access control
Access control must remain open until the PIN from SPEDIONline has been entered. If access control is closed, the displayed PIN expires. Access control must then be reopened and a new PIN will be displayed.
- Open the SPEDION app.
- Select the option that is appropriate for your login status from the following three options.
Option 1: SPEDION app displays the admin mode view
The admin mode view is visible if you have not yet logged in to the company account on the device for the first time.
- Click on the circled i.
A new dialog box opens.
- Select the Mobile Control Commands option.
The access control opens. A four-digit PIN is displayed here.
- Write down the PIN displayed.
- Now follow Generate PIN in SPEDIONline
Option 2: SPEDION app displays the login screen
- Click on the three dots stacked on top of each other.

Option 3: SPEDION app displays the start screen
- Click More features.
- Swipe from right to left.
- Click on Tools.
- Swipe from right to left.
- Select the Mobile Control Commands option

- Write down the PIN displayed.
- Now follow Generate PIN in SPEDIONline
Generate PIN in SPEDIONline
You have the PIN generated by the access control system.
Access control in the SPEDION app is open at all times.
- Open SPEDIONline.
- Select Administration.
A menu bar with icons opens.
- Select the Android icon (SPEDION Mobile Control).
The following view opens.
4. Enter the four-digit PIN from the SPEDION app into the input field.
5. Click on Mobile Control PIN.
A new dialog box opens with a new PIN.
Enter your SPEDIONline PIN in the SPEDION app
- Enter the PIN displayed in the dialog box in the SPEDION app.
- Confirm your entry with OK.
You will be redirected to the Mobile Control commands.
Execute SMC commands
All Mobile Control commands that you can execute on your Android device are now displayed.
Log out of the SPEDION app on your Android device and log back in to revoke temporary approvals. After logging back in, it may take up to a minute for the temporary approvals to be revoked.
Allow device settings
By allowing device settings, you can, for example, disable and enable mobile data or adjust the brightness of the screen.
