The groups function allows you to group your vehicles and trailers/objects, drivers or users into self-defined groups.
You can assign these groups to users of SPEDIONline so that users
can only view the groups intended for them.
Standardised procedure - example vehicles
Working with groups is standardised in SPEDIONline and is described here using vehicles as an example.
The procedure is the same for the assignment of vehicles / vehicle groups, drivers / driver groups and users.
Create vehicle group
- In the Administration, move the mouse over the vehicle icon in the menu bar and click on Vehicle Groups.
- Enter a desired name for the group in the Group name field.
- Click on Add new group.
- Add the desired vehicles to the group.
- Add the desired users to the group who should see this group in SPEDIONline.
- Click on Save.
Reuse groups
As SPEDIONline groups
Under Vehicle Groups, tick SPEDIONline group for the desired group in order to be able to use the group as a selection in the menu items Fleet, Messages, Geofence/POI and Reports.
In the Administration
You can reuse vehicle groups and driver groups for Document Management and Vehicle Configuration.
Changes are applied automatically
Changes to the driver and vehicle groups have a direct effect on the reused groups in Document Management or in the Vehicle Configuration.
