With the Main / Subcontractor module, you can display and schedule your subcontractors' vehicles in SPEDIONline just like your own vehicles. The prerequisite is that your subcontractor is also a SPEDION customer.
Conversely, as a subcontractor, you can activate your vehicles for your client so that they can dispatch the vehicles as if they were their own vehicles.
In order to exchange vehicle data with the main contractor, your SPEDION account must be linked to the SPEDION account of the main contractor.

What Does Prime Contractor & Subcontractor Implementation Actually Mean?
From a technical and operational perspective, integrating subcontractors into a fleet management system means consolidating data across different legal entities within a single system environment.
In the traditional telematics landscape, every transport company typically operates its own software ecosystem independently.
What this means in practice:
A prime contractor requests support from a subcontractor to fulfill a larger transport order. Both companies already use SPEDION, and the vehicles of both companies are equipped with the necessary hardware and software.
The prime contractor can then integrate the subcontractor's vehicles into its own SPEDION environment and gain access to the relevant vehicle data of the subcontractor. This enables centralized monitoring and management across company boundaries while maintaining the existing system setup of each party.
