What can I do if there is no GPS connection?
How do I recognise that there is no active GPS connection?
A red GPS symbol can be seen under "Status" on the home screen.
A GPS connection is necessary in order to localise the Android device. If there is no active GPS connection, the functionality of the SPEDION App may be impaired.
Solution: Activate GPS
- On the home screen, select More features.
- Swipe from right to left.
- Select Tools > Device control.
- Check whether "GPS on" is displayed. If not, tap on GPS off to switch GPS on.
GPS is activated.
Is there still no GPS connection?
If the problem persists despite the GPS being activated, please contact SPEDION Support on the following telephone number +49 (0) 6024 509 90 199.
Solution for DAF trucks
Problem with DAF trucks (affects NGD models: XF, XG and XG+):
GPS problems occur when the Android device is placed directly above the radio. The radio interferes with the GPS signal.
Solution: Place the Android device in a different location.
Make sure that the Android device is not above the radio.
For example, place the Android device directly to the right of the radio:
We recommend using a new KUDA mount to position the Android device in the correct place.
