Install SPEDION Navigation

The SPEDION App is installed on the Android device.
There is a permanently active internet connection.
The SPEDION Navigation requires an average of approx. 20 MB per hour.
For average use of the SPEDION App and SPEDION Navigation, we recommend 5 GB data volume.
The Android device uses at least Android version 9.
For the best possible use, we recommend using the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 as the end device.
When used with SPEDION TruckBox and SPEDION SIM, a SPEDION Tablet SIM and Bluetooth coupling to the TruckBox is required.

1. Set up SPEDION Navigation

The SPEDION Navigation has been activated for your customer account by the SPEDION project team.

You can manage the setup yourself in SPEDIONline Administration.

Open SPEDIONline.

Click on Administration > Vehicle Configuration.

Remove the desired vehicles or vehicle groups from any existing configuration groups with a navigation reference (1), such as PTV or ALK.

Add the desired vehicles or vehicle groups to the configuration group Your customer name - SPEDION Navigation (2).

2. Install on the Android device

To use SPEDION Navigation for the first time, you must install an update of the SPEDION App.

In the SPEDION App, select Logout.

It will check for updates and you will see the following screen:

Select Install Update.

Select Install.

After installation, select Open.

Select Open SPEDION App.

Regular licence check

The licence is also checked regularly after the initial installation. The note shown above is displayed for this purpose.

Select the navigation icon at the top of the menu bar.

Select Ok.

A permission prompt is displayed. Select Allow.

No new update available?
1. Log out of the SPEDION App again and log in again.
2. If necessary: Check manually for updates at More features > Tools > Update.
