Your Android device can be supplied with power in two different ways:
- You are using an active bracket, which supplies your Android device with power. Proceed as described here.
- You use the SPEDION PowerAddon to supply the Android device with power. Proceed as described here.
Active bracket
- Connect the active bracket to the SPEDION cable loom using the plug supplied by SPEDION. A required fuse is built into the SPEDION cable loom.
CAUTION - Guarantee loss
If you do not use the connector supplied by SPEDION, the active bracket must be protected against short-circuiting by a separate 3A fuse to avoid losing the guarantee!
- Alternatively: If you cannot tap the voltage at the SPEDION cable loom, then have others fix up a separate 3A fuse.
Next step: Install SIM card
SPEDION PowerAddon
You have connected the SPEDION cable loom to the central electrical unit.
- Connect the white 2-pin connector plug of the SPEDION PowerAddon cable loom to the white 2-pin sleeve of the SPEDION cable loom.
- Connect the Android device to the vehicle charging cable.
- Optional: Attach the Android device to its holder.
Power supply
The red cable connects the SPEDION PowerAddon cable loom to the continuous current of the vehicle. As a result, your Android device is charged even when your vehicle’s ignition is not on.
Next step: Install SIM card
