The Ticker allows you to be notified directly when
- a new text message has been received.
- a special activity has been entered by the driver in the SPEDION App (= event).
- a report created by the SPEDION project team has been received.
Show Ticker
Show temporarily
- Click on Fleet in the menu bar.
- Click on the three dots in the main bar.
- Activate the Ticker slider.
Show by default
- Click on Settings > User interface in the menu bar.
- Tick the Show Ticker box.
Sound for ticker messages
- click on Settings > User interface in the menu bar.
- tick Play sound on new ticker message.
Edit Ticker notifications
Open messages:
Double-click on a notification for a text message to open it directly.
Show location of the ticker notification:
Click on the pin icon behind a Ticker notification.
The point from which the notification was sent is displayed on the map.
Delete Ticker notifications:
Click on the remove icon behind a Ticker notification to remove this notification from the window.
If you want to remove all notifications displayed in the Ticker, click Remove All below.
Messages are retained
If you remove a Ticker notification for a text message, the text message is not marked as read and not deleted. You will still find the text message in the Messages module.
You will also find all Ticker notifications - including removed ones - in the Ticker History.
Activate / deactivate Ticker notifications
You can set whether you want to receive Ticker notifications in SPEDIONline. If you use the SPEDION Portal App, you can also receive push notifications on your mobile device.
- Click on Ticker > Administration in the menu bar.
- To receive Ticker notifications in SPEDIONline, tick the box next to Receive Ticker notifications in SPEDIONline.
To deactivate: Remove the tick to stop receiving new notifications. New notifications will no longer be listed in the Ticker History. - To receive Ticker push notifications in the SPEDION Portal App, tick the box next to Receive Ticker push notifications for the SPEDION Portal App.
To deactivate: Remove the tick to stop receiving push notifications.
Configuring the Ticker
You can set which Ticker notifications you would like to receive.
Click on Ticker > Administration in the menu bar.
Alternatively: Click on the cogwheel icon in the top right-hand corner of the Ticker message window.
Make the desired settings:

| 1 | Category | There are three types of Ticker notifications that you can activate: - Text message - Event = Activities entered by the driver in the SPEDION App. - Report = A report created for you by the SPEDION project team. |
| 2 | Active Events | Here you can select the events for which you would like to receive Ticker notifications. |
| 3 | Limit to Vehicle Groups | If you only want to receive Ticker notifications for certain vehicle groups, you can select them here. If you do not select any vehicle groups, you will receive notifications for all vehicles. |
Show Ticker History
Click on Ticker > History in the menu bar.
The Ticker notifications of the last 6 months are listed here.
