Installation and setup
The SPEDION TrailerBox PV may only be attached using the SPEDION TrailerBox PV Holder.
Please note the warranty information!
The TrailerBox PV device will be assembled on a separate support that will be screwed into place at the installation site beforehand.
The bracket will be screwed in place using four M8 DIN-7991 screws. The TrailerBox will be fitted onto this bracket and secured by the four pins that fit into the slots on the device casing. To remove it, simply press on the pins to release it.
Mounting the SPEDION TrailerBox PV Holder
The material of the stand is the same as that of the device casing, ABS+PC V0.
It should be installed in areas that are as clear as possible of objects or parts that cover it and prevent proper sunlight or GPS/LTE communication.
The SPEDION TrailerBox PV must be mounted on the trailer with the solar panel pointing upwards, or on the front wall of the trailer or on the doors of the trailer with sufficient light.
If installed on a vertical surface, the device must be installed with the GPS antenna at the top (→ the labelling on the TrailerBox PV with the SPEDION Logo and product information must face left) and in a position that receives as much light as possible.
If installed on a horizontal surface, it does not matter which way the GPS antenna is pointing, as long as the panel receives as much light as possible.
- Ensure that the surface on which the SPEDION TrailerBox PV Holder is to be mounted is free of dirt and degreased before installation.
- Fasten the SPEDION TrailerBox PV Holder with four M8 screws (DIN-7991) or a construction adhesive (recommended: Würth methyl methacrylate adhesive MAK38).
-> If you use adhesive: Allow the adhesive to cure according to the manufacturer's instructions before moving the trailer/container.
