Settings on the dashcam

Open the settings

  1. Tap the dashcam screen.
  2. Enter the default administrator PIN 3333 or the PIN you have set yourself.
  3. Select Settings.

Overview settings

Settings Description
Wi-Fi Turn Wi-Fi or hotspot on/off.
Select APN Select an APN available on the SIM card.
Add APN Add custom APN settings – scan a barcode.
Add cameras Connect additional cameras to the dashcam.
Text overlay Overlay text onto recordings, such as speed or date.
Distracted driver Function for driving distractions.
This setting must be enabled for warnings regarding these events to be triggered in the cab.
ADAS Calibration of the driver assistance system, e.g. to enable it to detect evasive manoeuvres or lane changes.
Cab camera recording Switch cab recordings on/off.
Even when this function is deactivated, distractions whilst driving will still be detected by the lens’s sensors, triggering the relevant warnings or events.
Driver position Left/Right Set which side the driver is sitting on to calibrate the driving distraction function.
Speed in mph Switch between miles per hour and kilometres per hour for the speed display.
US date format Switch between US date format and ROW format.
Audio alert Enable/disable audible warnings for risky and distracted driving.
Notify of real-time camera feed Turn live feed notifications on/off.
When this setting is enabled, the driver receives a visual notification when someone is currently viewing the live video in SPEDIONline.
Encrypt local recording Enable/disable SD card encryption.
Change PIN Change PIN (this PIN is used to access the settings).
Change driver PIN Change driver PIN.
Calibration Calibrate the dashcam’s accelerometer.
Brightness Adjust the screen brightness.
Language Change the display language.
Speed Test Display the speed of the mobile network used by the dashcam.
IMEI Display the camera’s IMEI number.
More information View further details about the dashcam, e.g. software version, number of external cameras and internet interfaces.
Certification View the dashcam’s certifications.
Build version View the dashcam’s software version.
Format SD card Format the SD card.
Reset to factory settings Reset the dashcam settings to factory defaults.
Power off Switch off or restart the dashcam.
